Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. The actress Aunjanue. Ellis began acting in the theater. Later, she appeared in television programs as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she be praised by critics for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. She began her career as an actress in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis.
