Audra Mc Donald

Audra's versatility and breadth in her career as an artist is unmatched. She has won six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, as well as an Emmy Award. When she won the 6th Tony award in 2014 her performance as Lady Day in Lady Day in Emerson's Bar & Grill became Broadway's highest-rated production. In 2017, she performed in the West End London West End debut, and was nominated to receive the Olivier Award. Aside from setting a record in the competition for winning the most awards for actor, she was the first person to win each of the four categories for acting. Her credits in the theatre includes The Secret Garden (1993) Marie Christine (993) Henry IV (2004) and 110 in the Shade (707). Twelfth Night was McDonald's Public Theater Shakespeare in the Park debut. Shuffle Along is The Making of the Musical Seduction of 1921-and All That Followed. Frankie Johnny in the Clair de Lune. and Ohio State Murders. McDonald first made her television debut as a character actor in the Peabody Award winner CBS series Having Our Say - The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years. After starring with Kathy Bates, Victor Garber as well as others in the critically acclaimed Disney/ABC remake of Annie in 1999, McDonald had an recurring role in the NBC show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. McDonald received her first Emmy for her role in the HBO adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Wit directed by Mike Nichols, starring Emma Thompson. McDonald first played U.S. lawyer Liz Lawrence (now Liz Reddick), in CBS's Legal thriller The Good Wife, in 2009. In 2018, she recast the role on The Good Fight for Paramount+ as a series regular. Her performance received three Critics Choice Award Nominations. Presently, she is acting as a guest in Julian Fellowes' historical drama The Gilded Age, which premieres on HBO.
