Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job following school was working as a real estate agent. She was introduced to Tarek Al Moussa while working in the real estate industry. Due to the market crash, Tarek and Christina El Moussa nearly lost everything. Following their move from a home that cost them $6,000 per year, to a new apartment that cost $700, they nearly lost everything. Both their business and economy as a whole slowly recovered. HGTV as well as Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek sought out a partner to assist him in creating an HGTV audition tape which showed his and Christina flipping a house from the beginning to the end. Pie Town Productions, a production company based in New York City received the audition tape. The execs fell in love with Tarek as well as Christina. The deal was signed by the couple with HGTV. In April 2013, "Flip of Flop" premiered. Between 2013 and 2017, 92 episodes were broadcast over the course of seven seasons. The show featured Christina and Tarek buying properties located in Orange County. They would spend weeks upgrading the houses to be able to sell the properties for a profit.
